Mishal serves as a news anchor at Express news head office in Lahore. She joined the network in august 2007.She covers major breaking news stories across the country from FIA building bomb blast to Bhakkar blast.

Before joining Express News, she was working as sub- editor magazine and reporter in Daily Express for three years. She was also the in charge of women, art and culture and agriculture edition.

She has also worked at FM 101 as a presenter, where she used to do live show. She was selected as one of the best six presenters out of another thirty presenters.

She was nominated for the “Gender in journalism awards 2004” amongst the best five feature writers of Pakistan by ‘UNESCO’ and “PAKISTAN PRESS FOUNDATION”, for her article “Recreational activities for women in Pakistan”

She has earned her master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Punjab. During her masters she did her research work on “The role of PTV drama in highlighting women’s issues”. She also compiled all the available data on rural based NGO’S in Pakistan and is being kept in the library of mass communication department to facilitate other students.
